We have walks for the general public on the third Saturday of the month from May through September. All walks start at 10:30 a.m. and last 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Each walk is lead by an experienced volunteer who will tell you about the plants and the restoration work we do. June is a specialized walk for the butterflies. That leader will identify both butterflies and plants.
We also have workdays running on these days. You are welcome to come at 9 a.m. and attend part of the workday before your tour. Click here to see the Workday Schedule and Information.

- Aster Walk - Sat., September 17, 2011, 10:30 a.m. Highlight: Asters
We will give private tours to groups of 6 people or more. There is no fee for the tour. Tours can be scheduled by contacting Friends of the Bluff Spring Fen at bluffspringfen@gmail.com or 847-464-4426. Please contact her several weeks in advance to allow time for booking the tour leader. All leaders will be experienced Fen volunteers that are familiar with the plants and the restoration work we do. If you are interested in birds, butterflies, or dragonflies, we will need to book particular leaders for those tours. Tours can be scheduled for any day of the week; however, more leaders are available for Saturday and Sunday tours.
